A LITTLE ABOUT ME!

I’m Paige More, an advocate for women’s health and empowerment, co-founder of The Breasties, brand consultant, wellness entrepreneur, churro connoisseur and your new breast friend. I hope you feel like you can come to me for relationship advice, the latest wellness trends, questions to ask your doctors, and so much more.

I believe that our health journeys don’t have to be SO scary and that none of us should have to navigate any of this alone.

I created Paige Previvor to share my raw and real journey with my health after being diagnosed with the BRCA 1 gene and undergoing a preventative mastectomy at 24 years old. These past few years I have learned SO much and I am really grateful to have such an amazing community of strong women to share these tips and tricks with. I am SO glad you are here!

How it all started

Almost all of the women on my dad’s side of the family have been diagnosed with breast and/or ovarian cancer. So after my dad tested positive for the BRCA 1 gene, it was an Oprah moment in my household. But instead of, you get a car, it became, you get tested for BRCA and YOU get tested for BRCA! I tested positive for the BRCA 1 genetic mutation at 22 years old and in January of 2017 I chose to have a preventative double mastectomy. I was 24 years old and felt completely anxious, alone and afraid.

When I looked for support or guidance online, I was very discouraged to see that most of the articles talked about worst case scenarios and nightmare experiences and many of the support groups that existed left me feeling worse than before I had gotten there.

After my double mastectomy I felt empowered, strong, and sexy! I wanted other women to know that they can feel like this too. I also worried about my youngest sister Cammy, who hasn’t been tested for the mutation yet because she is only 16. I knew that if she tested positive for the mutation, I wanted her to have a better experience than I did so I made it my mission.

I started sharing my experience on Instagram and I quickly realized that there are thousands of other women who felt similarly to me and together we have created a an amazing community online and in person. We call each other breast friends or Breasties for short! Through Instagram I was able to meet Bri, Leslie and Allie - and together we cofounded The Breasties, a nonprofit organization that puts together free events and weekend wellness retreat around the world for women affected by breast and gynecological cancers.
