The biggest game-changer for my body

One of the things that I have added to my morning routine that has made the BIGGEST difference is celery juice. I love starting off my day with a glass of it - I truly feel like it energizes and refreshes my mornings (and the rest of my day!)

Celery juice has SO many healing properties. Besides energizing me, celery juice has made such a difference with my skin and my digestion. It has given me a new glow and combats bloating better than anything else I have ever tried. Digestive Enzymes also have helped me so much with bloating and digestion. I bring my digestive enzymes with me everywhere, I never travel without them. I take them before each meal.

Breaking down some of the benefits of celery juice for health, skin and hair:

Inflamation

Celery juice is filled with powerful anti-inflammatory properties which is amazing and sooo beneficial for people who suffer from chronic illness or if you want to keep the bloat down. Celery juice also contains lots of fibers which I have found have kept me super regular!

Skin

Celery juice helps keep our skin glowing and hydrated! Since adding celery juice to my daily routine, I have noticed my skin is much smoother and softer which I love!! The water and antioxidant content of the juice is also good for purifying our body and making our skin clearer. Just a heads up though - be prepared for some major breakouts when you first start drinking regularly because it literally pulls all of the toxins and shit out of your body. I love it because it really shows me that it’s working. I definitely have struggled with less breakouts the more consistent I am. Celery juice is loaded with vitamin A, B, C, K, niacin and folate, which are essential for repairing skin damages as well as keeping up the health of our skin. These vitamins also help in producing collagen!!

Hair

The high amount of water and vitamin A found in celery juice are great for our hair! Water keeps our scalp hydrated and cures dandruff, while vitamin A provides nourishment to the roots of hair strands and makes them healthy. Celery juice is also known to stimulate the growth of our hair and improve its texture. I still struggle with breakage from heat damage but I do think it has helped make my hair softer!!

Cancer

Celery juice has cancer fighting properties. There are a ton of anti-cancer substances present in the juice that aid in cancer prevention in a number of ways. For example, the acetylenic content of the juice prevents the tumor cells from growing and the phonolic acid content makes the hormone-like prostaglandins inactive.

Blood Pressure

Celery juice also helps control your blood pressure. The 3-n-butylphthalide found in celery juice diminishes the secretion of stress hormones and relaxes the muscles present around our blood vessels so that they get dilated and blood can flow through them smoothly without causing much pressure onto their inner walls.

How to make it:

Celery juice is actually SUPER easy to make!! If you have a juicer then you are already a pro and can figure this out for yourself. I recently just bought the AICOK juicer and its been a total game changer!! For awhile I did not have a juicer so I used the Nutribullet it works just fine. I drink 16 oz of celery juice first thing in the morning. You don’t have to do this - but i think it is beneficial to drink first thing on an empty stomach. If you choose to drink at a different time of day, I would recommend doing so 10-15 minutes before a meal because it is SUPER filling and I find that it works best before I have eaten!!

Ingredients:

  • 3-5 celery stalks (I always use organic)

  • water

  • lemon (for taste - you can add in apple, cucumber, etc ! I typically drink it without anything besides celery but its up to you!)

Instructions:

Step 1: wash the celery stalks

Step 2: cut the celery stalks into 4 inch pieces

Step 3: add the celery to your blender

Step 4: add 1 cup of water

Step 5: blend until completely smooth

Step 6: use a strainer and pour celery juice into cup

Step 7: add in some lemon juice if you don’t like the taste! I personally LOVE the taste.
