SHOULD YOU GET THE FLU SHOT THIS YEAR?

[ #ad ] Just got back from getting my flu shot at Walgreens!!

Even though I’ve been getting the flu shot ever since I can remember, I was a little nervous about getting it this year.

In the past I’ve gotten the flu shot to protect myself and to protect the people around me - especially since many of my breasties and loved ones are immunocompromised.

But there is a lot of uncertainty due to the pandemic.

When I learned that due to the convergence of the COVID 19 pandemic and flu season that it is more important than ever to go get your flu shot, I decided to go to my local Walgreens as soon as possible.

A few reasons I love going to Walgreens:

  • It’s so easy and convenient for me! They have so many locations

  • You don’t need to make an appointment (but you can if you want to!)

  • The flu shot is typically covered by insurance so you can likely get the flu shot there for free!

  • They made going in for the flu shot feel so safe. From hand sanitizer placed throughout the store, temperature checks, helpful pharmacists wearing masks, gloves, face shields and taking you into a private room, I felt very taken care of and comfortable

  • I really love that for every flu shot taken they donate a lifesaving vaccine to the UN foundation for children around the world

Getting the flu shot is not just about protecting yourself, it's also about protecting your crew and supporting public health during a pandemic #DefendingMyCrew
